Hitachi vehicle energy Co., Ltd. is a joint venture with three Hitachi groups (Hitachi, Ltd., Shin-Kobe Electric Machinery, Hitachi Maxell energy) performing marketing of the lithium ion battery for the vehicle installation such as hybrid cars and development, production mainly. It is succeeded in the Hitachi group in 2000 by development of the lithium ion battery for the world first car. I start production in the same year and have the market results that are higher than 2 million cells in products for hybrid cars so far.
