GNU FriBidi is a free library and implements interactive algorithm of Unicode [1]. In the rendering part of the text of some free text rendering subsystems and AbiWord and MPlayer such as Pango[2] used in GNOME, it is used directly or indirectly. Such a library is necessary for a language to write a letter to the left like Arabic, Persian and Hebrew from the right to perform rendering of a written text.
I insist that the developer of FriBidi completely implements interactive algorithm of standard compatible Unicode.
In FriBidi, [3] that development began in in SourceForge.net becomes the project affiliated with freedesktop.org now.
