East African Community

Member nation (green) of the East African Community

The community where the East African Community (Higashi African sea bream which how about today, East African Community, abbreviated designation "EAC") was formed by Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, East Africa countries of South Sudan. I aim at the future regional integration. A stronghold of the community mechanism is アルーシャ city of Tanzania.

History

East African Community becoming a forerunner in the 1970s existed, but collapses by the internal affairs of Kenya and a tug-of-war of Tanzania and each country virtually in 1977. Uganda invaded and attacked in Tanzania in 1978 and became the militancy and completely became extinct (Uganda Tanzania war). Re-organization is planned in 2001 when the local situation was stable by Kenya, Tanzania, Ugandan three countries, and a customs union starts afterwards in 2005. Rwanda, Burundi participated in it in 2007 and spread in five countries in total.

Sudan and South Sudanese two countries performed member application, too, and, of these, in Sudan, application was rejected afterwards on November 30, 2011. I express Uganda, Kenya, [1] support in Rwanda about one application of South Sudan.

On March 2, 2016, participation of South Sudan was approved [2].
