モシコ state (Moxico) is a state of Angola. It is located in the eastern part of Angola and touches Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia with the east. Area 223,023km², a population of 230,000 people. The state capital is ルエナ. The モシコ state was known as hometown of Jonas Savimbi who was a leader of the National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA) and became the base of UNITA during a civil war in Angola. On February 22, 2002, Savimbi lost the life by a surprise attack of the government troop in モシコ state, and the civil war in Angola in this way terminated.

There is カメイア national park in the モシコ state.
