Simone Martini
Simone Martini (Simone Martini, about 1284 -1344 year) is Italy, a painter of the Gothic period. I am said to have made an international Gothic pioneer.
I am from Siena of the central part of Italy. It was the representative painter of the Siena group of the Gothic period and left the work indicating the most typical style of the Italian Gothic picture. For the generation, I act as Cimabue of Florence and a successor of ドゥッチョ D ブオニンセーニャ of Siena. (although I declined in the 15th century, Siena was a center of the art along with Florence of the Renaissance at the time of the 14th century)
シモーネ was Naples and Assisi, but I produced it and left Italy in about 1340 and I moved to Avignon of south France where had the board of the Pope in those days and did the work such as board of the Pope palaces.
The masterpiece "Annunciation" in the Uffizi Museum uses the background of the traditional ground strewn with gold dust, but the person is expressed to exist in realistic three-dimensional space, and nature taste appears in clothing and the body expression of the Holy Mother and the angel.
