ムスタファ near

ムスタファ near (Moustapha Niasse, November 4, 1939 -) is a politician of the Republic of Senegal; a diplomat. I acted as the Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1993 through 1998 from 1978 through 1984.

I split with the abdo ディウフ President, and, on June 16, 1999, he formed a new party progress power alliance (AFP, Alliance des forces de progrès) and ran for a presidential election in 2000 and fought against abdo ディウフ, Abdoulaye WADE. The vote of near was the third place (16%), but ディウフ and ワッド were brought into the runoff. ワッド nominated near for the prime minister after victory (the term in office: from April 5, 2000 on March 3, 2001). In 2002, U.N. Secretary General Coffey Annan dispatched near in the Democratic Republic of Congo as his special envoy.
