大祚栄 (テ ジョヨン, a Japanese reading: だいそえい, Korean: 대조영, Roman letters: Dae Joyeong, DDH-977) is a destroyer of the Republic of Korea Navy. The third warship of 李舜臣級駆逐艦. The name of a warship comes from King Hatsuyo, 大祚栄 of Bohai.
Warship career
"大祚栄" was constructed as 4,400 tons grade destroyer based on KDX-II on the Daewoo shipbuilding ocean and was placed on duty on launching, June 30, 2005 on November 12, 2003.
As 清海部隊第 second unit organized for pirates measures of the offing of Somalia on July 16, 2009, I leave Korea. I start a duty in the field on August 22. I take over from "DDH-975 忠武公李舜臣" of the third corps on December 21 and start for home. I carry out the guards for all 25 times of 592 ships including 66 Korean family register ships during a duty and rescue five Yemen fishermen abducted elsewhere by pirates [1]. I return to port in the morning at the Zhenhai naval port on January 18, 2010 [2].
On December 16, 2011, leave the Pusan navy base of operations as a 清海部隊第 ninth corps, and arrive at the spot sea area in about the middle of January, 2012, and start guards duty; until about June a plan [3] of the duty continuation.
I work on the search of the セウォル sinking accident which happened off Jeollanam-do funny island county enjoying ume blossom Island on April 16, 2014. At this chance a 21-year-old corporal was wounded in the head during the work of the freight elevator and died on 19th [4].
In October, 2015, I participated in Self-Defense Forces naval review as Korean navy war vessel after an interval of 13 years in 2015 [5].
