奥村左近太

Okumura Court Security Office big (おくむらさこんた, 1842 (Tenpo era 13 years) -1903 age (1903) January 11) is a swordsman of the Meiji from the late Tokugawa period. After having learned an earnest mind shadow style, the school founded Okumura school of fencing characterized by the use of a sword in each hand. The title is an identification of Japan Takenori society refinement. The childhood name is Torakichi.

I am born as a child of Okayama clansman, the Okumura relief. Because the sexagenary cycle was 壬寅, it was named Torakichi. I become a disciple of the dojo studio of the Abe right source next of the earnest mind shadow style fencing at (Ansei two years), 13 years old in 1855. It was belonging to the same school, and there was son, the Abe guard of the right source next. I learned standing and falling style jujutsu and 日置流印西派弓術, Katori style art of spear-fighting, gunnery, the equestrianism other than fencing.

I repeat the trip of pilgrimage ascetic practices (Ansei six years) from January in 1859. During this time, Iyosaijo clansman, 高橋筅次郎 (Tamiya sword dedicated to the god style) looked at using the two swords and, for two years, devised two swords and pulled a waist while intersecting to a dirk by a right knife in the left dirk in wide one character, and protecting the head and began to knit Okumura school of fencing characterized by the use of a sword in each hand poised to do it for forward bending. I defeated Iwakuni clansman, Kintaro Uno (single expulsion of criminals into the heart of a mountain) and Tsuyama clansman, Tadaichi Ikumi (Shinto regrets style) in these two swords later.

I finished (Bunkyu three years), pilgrimage ascetic practices in 1863 and received the full mastership of the earnest mind shadow style from Abe right source next and opened the Okumura drinker who likes sweets as well.

I took office as a first-class professor of the Takeaki building whom Okayama feudal clan established with (1871), Abe guard in 1871, but the Takeaki building was abolished in the same year by establishment of prefectures in place of feudal domains. It is bankrupted afterwards though I establish 協信社 (bank resemblance company) for economical independence of the family with samurai antecedents. It becomes the form to continue as a martial arts group.

Although I was defeated by 朽原義次 (柳剛流) in the fencing meeting of the open nationwide scale hosted by the Metropolitan Police Department (1884) in ヶ Yayoi Oka Corporation of Hongo, Tokyo for on November 8 in 1884, I became known with victory, Sosuke Henmi (advancement in the world style) to 真貝忠篤 (Kubota group Tamiya style), Matsuzaki wave Shiro (Kato Tagami shade style), Umanosuke Ueda (mirror Satoshi Shinmyo style) in a draw, the whole country.

Furthermore, I broke Takayama Saburo Mine (earnest mind shadow style), 高橋筅次郎 and won the championship at the 550, Nanko anniversary dedication meeting opened (1885) in Minatogawa Shrine of Kobe on July 20 in 1885, and a sword of Sadakazu Gassan (the first generation) was conferred.

I was defeated by Tokuno Shiro Seki (earnest mind shadow style) in (1895), Japan Takenori society first 回武徳祭大演武会 in 1895, but it was admitted that it was particularly excellent, and an identification of refinement was conferred by the meeting.

I faced Abe guard in the meeting of the party with old feudal lord Akimasa Ikeda held (1898) in Koraku-en Garden noh theater on May 15 in 1898 and tied it.

I return home with illness to Okayama though I am appointed (1899) in September in 1899 by a professor at Japan Takenori society headquarters. I died (1903) on January 11 in 1903.

It may be said that it was one of the strongest fencers in the Meiji era. Torakichi Okumura of the son succeeded to Okumura school of fencing characterized by the use of a sword in each hand. There is Saruta source eight who opened up a product river cutting down with one stroke of the sword style to a pupil.
