フユイチゴ (winter strawberry, Rubus buergeri) is undershrub of 常緑匍匐性 of the rose family Rubus [²].

Characteristic

The leaf is round and it is shallow and does 3 裂. It is slightly shiny in Midori tinged with the brown whether the leaf list is green, and there are small saw teeth for a relationship. There is small hair on the back side. The leaf performs each other life [³].

Many raspberries ripen in summer, but it is an origin of the Japanese name that フユイチゴ ripens in winter [²]. Alias "a perception strawberry" [³].

Distribution

It is distribution in middle southern district, southern part of Taiwan, Korean Peninsula [⁴] of China and Honshu from Kyushu, Shikoku, Kanto of Japan and to the west. I go to the underbrush of the forest. Road ぞいなどに of the forest relationship often appears. I am appointed in vulnerable species (endangered species II, VU) in Yamagata [⁵].

• ミヤマフユイチゴ (R. hakonensis) - I resemble フユイチゴ in the whole, but the leaf is slightly triangular, and the tip is sharp. I am distributed near the shop of Kanto and to the west and the highlands, the temperate zone area.
• ホウロクイチゴ (R. sieboldii) - The whole is similar to フユイチゴ, but it is much huger, and the leaf is hairy thick, too. I am distributed over Shikoku, Kyushu, Ryukyu Islands and China from the Honshu southern coast. I make large stock in the sun.
