ハマブランカ

ハマブランカ is the recreation facility which was ever in Shirahama-cho, Wakayama.

Summary

After having opened as new Shirahama tropical zone botanical garden in (1962) in 1962, I was renamed to ハマブランカ (1971) in April in 1971. Adjacent to three steps of walls, I am located at the south end of the sightseeing area of Shirahama positionally. The ruins of the copper ore mountain were at the south end.

A tropical botanical garden and cactus park were on the very large site of a total of 33,000m2, and there was the brief roller coaster. The show by the OSK Japan opera company was held four times a day in the grand hall. A bougainvillaea and a hibiscus bloomed in the garden, and tomatoes were cultivated in the greenhouse and were the tropical paradise of the southern country mood perfect score. It was full of many tourists in the golden age, but management came to a deadlock by the later recession, and a show disappeared the summer of (1995) later in 1995, and it was only the business of the botanical garden and closed it (2005) on October 13 in 2005. There was the plan that a hotel went into in the ruins, but was done a halt by circumstances.

As of 2009, only the building of the west exit part was used as an office of the sightseeing bus company. Because the dilapidation of the building with the aged deterioration advanced, the dismantling of the building is carried out (2010) from October in 2010, and most of become Saraji leaving a palm tree as of 2015.
