Geography

Traffic
- Marine transportation： There is a port in the towns such as Dinghai, 沈家門, high bower, 泗礁, and a ferry appears in Shanghai, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Fuzhou.
- Road： I can move to most districts across the road. A bus runs in the big island. I go over to Ningbo in 杭州湾跨海大橋, and Shanghai reaches the Funayama city more in 舟山跨海大橋.
- Aviation： There is one military airport where one Mt. Funayama Putuo Airport for people was made in the person of vermilion apex island before the Chinese Nationalist Party government moves to Taiwan in the huge mountain island. The duties by the helicopter are carried out now.
Construction of 跨海大橋 to the Zhenhai ward is carried out from Funayama Motojima for improvement of the traffic now.
Sightseeing
Putuo wind blowing down a mountain view natural beauty spot ward, 嵊 泗列島風景名勝区 are appointed as a nation grade scenery natural beauty spot ward. In addition, there are two of a huge mountain island scenery ward and the peach blossom island scenery ward in the ministry grade scenery natural beauty spot ward.
Religion
Because there is Mt. one Putuo of China's four biggest Buddhism grand mountains, power of the Buddhism is strong among inhabitants, but the Taoism is believed in, too. There is little Christianity, but the person for whereabouts is a believer in 衢山島 the history of 100 years.
