I played an active part from the Taisho era through (early 1920s - early 1950s) in the middle of the Showa era. The activity as the professional is extremely short, but, from a university, a way of rubber arm in the non professional, the one of "the great pitcher of the Taisho era" includes it.

Origin, person

It was an ace pitcher in Yonago Junior High School (existing: Yonago east high school), but it was a violence playing ball hand nicknamed no control and was not able to participate in a national convention (it is a cause to have been the golden age of the school in Tottori). I belonged to the Dalian business group after graduation in the U.S. conjugal relations in a family with children in 1920, but I am found by Itsuro Osawa (Meiji University alumnus, Nippon University hardball baseball department Manager Hatsuyo) and enter the Meiji University baseball club in 1922.

It was a copy of Tairiku Watanabe at first and was an outfielder, but a ball of the backing to home did a hop near the home base once and had reached the backnet, and it was admitted by a leader, and, in Meiji University, Watanabe played an active part in the Tokyo five components studies league match as an ace pitcher after a retirement. I achieved a no-hit, no-run game of the twice in the Tokyo six University league match that opened a curtain in a league in a fall in last season of Yuasa four years and 1925 when it was against Rikkyo University, empire University (existing: Tokyo University) and, including league's first championship of 1923, showed off a way of rubber arm. 109 striking out はのちの Suguru Egawa who recorded it in this season, Hiromi Noguchi, Tsuyoshi Wada who are a younger student of Yuasa (Yonago east high native place), Yasuhiro Ichiba and others are league records to remain to date that were not torn (there is Yuasa all alone, and it leaves the name as the winning pitcher of the league organization opening game again to have achieved a no-hit, no-run game twice). In addition, I shut out University of Chicago where I came to for this age expedition two games consecutively.

After graduation, I led the school to the twelfth whole country secondary school championship baseball meet runner up as a bench coach of the Dalian quotient (Manchurian) in 1926. It is entered the company afterwards by Osaka Mainichi Shimbun (existing: the Mainichi Shimbun Osaka head office). I joined the Hino baseball team, and every semiprofessional baseball group that the company ran, Osaka took the part of the pitching staff and it was the sportswriting of the paper athletic club after baseball team dissolution and played an active part.

In 1950, the Mainichi Shimbun ran it, and joined Pacific League; make participation (temporary transfer from Mainichi Shimbun) for organization of Orion every day; as a general manager additional post pitcher activity. I led the team to the first Japan Series championship (a championship tile of this time is donated to old school, Yonago east Senior High School and is displayed). It is forerunner pitch at 48 years, 1 month old by the play with Hankyu Braves enforced again in Hankyu Nishinomiya Stadium on November 5, the same year. I bandy it with Manager Shinji Hamazaki of Hankyu and a pitcher (48 years, 11 month old) and realize a pitcher 96-year-old most elder confrontation in the fruit in two (this game is the only participation as the professional player, and the registration top is "a general manager", too and is not a player additional post, but having been a throwaway match and the gentleness of the rule at the time help me and become admitted as "player additional post supervision" now).

I take the responsibility for the Heiwadai case that happened by game with Nishitetsu Lions of July 16, 1952 and it is until July 27 and resigns. It is registered as a general manager over 1,953 years, the following day, but is not recorded for an official supervisor. Through a Nihon Short-Wave Broadcasting "professional baseball night game broadcast" commentator (1954), I return to every day as a head coach afterwards in 1955.

It is said to what leave an achievement in both professional flax baseball world, and do not enter the baseball palace though I achieved Japanese one as supervision that the influence of the Heiwadai case is big.

The wife is Kasuga Hanako of the Takarazuka all-women's opera fifth graduate in the part of Class former Takarazuka girl opera company flower lead daughter.

The January 5, 1958 death. Age at death 55.
