TRPM4

TRPM4

Is the protein which is called Mera statin -4 (melastatin-4), and TRPM4 (Transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily M member 4, transient receptor potential channel subtype M4) is encoded in gene TRPM4 [1]; [2]. I emerge on the surface of the cardiac muscle cell and participate in electric activity of the myocardium.

It is known that I control progression of myocardial infarction when I inhibit this channel with a drug [3].
