Taihei former treasure
The Taihei former treasure (たいへいげんぽう) is Japanese ancient silver money. One hole opens in a circle.
Summary
As for the Ohira former treasure, it was done 試鋳 for the first time for (760 years) for Tenbyohoji era four years. The exchange ratio with the money published at the same time was shown in the Imperial mandate, edict or decree given then and was established when I exposed one piece of origin of Ohira treasure to for ten pieces of current coins (copper coin) for 開基勝宝 (money) one piece in ten pieces of origin of Ohira treasure again in many years. Nakamaro Fujiwara (Oshikatsu Emino) appointed Prime Minister in the last year was given the issue of these money right autocratically.
Two articles to be discovered in a treasury in Toshodai-ji Temple in (1928) in certain house, 1928 in the Taisho era, and to reach it existed without the example that Ohira former treasure was found in by excavation being reported. There is the opinion which three articles perform existing in a legend of [1]. Two articles of rubbed copies come, and the item on display is missing now. However, according to the rubbed copy, all were transcribed into "太平元寳" not "大平元寳" written down in "the day biography of an emperor sequel to", and even a counterfeit opinion was whispered [2]. On the other hand, "Ohira" is good luck word to express perfect peace as well as "Taihei", and it is said that I prayed for the reign of the Emperor Junnin being peaceful [3].
Existence is few; there is the opinion which was the objective flash money indicating the value equivalent to 1/10 of the silver coin being high that it is estimated that is not confirmed again that there was not the general circulation in those days and large amount of set one piece of current coins with for conventional 和同開珎 ten pieces newly in many years of the publication [4]. In addition, there is the opinion which I did not cast origin of Ohira treasure for the circulation that it is inevitable that a counterfeited coin appears because I am equivalent to the value for 和同開珎 100 pieces and avoids the confusion of the monetary economy by this [3].
