マザン monastery
マザン monastery (Abbaye de Mazan) is the old シトー society monastery where remains of an ancient structure are left in France, Ardeche of the Rhone-Alpes area area [1]. Generally, it is the pro-monastery of le トロネ monastery which is famous as three sisters of Province, the セナンク monastery, but a case talked about in the context only for merely it is a person minor and most for the actual situation of the building [2].
It is considered that the cathedral of the マザン monastery which was founded as an annex of the ボンヌヴォー monastery () in 1120 by this ヴィヴァレ district [3] [4] was completed for from 1140 to 1150 [5]. In other words, it may be said that it is almost the building of the same period with フォントネー monastery known as existence oldest シトー society monastery architecture [6].
From the completion past of the cathedral, I established the first monastery, フロレージュ monastery by Barcelona 伯 of time, the request of the Province marquis as an annex in Province in 1136. This moved to 20km later and became le トロネ monastery [7]. In addition, I performed the establishment [8] of セナンク monastery as an annex in 1148 and established four annexes in total [9].
I experience a surprise attack by war and the Huguenot war for 100 years [9], and it will be broken up afterwards with a monastery of the whole land of France in 1790 by the French Revolution [10]. A ceiling collapses in 1923 and reaches the historic memory building () at the present in 1849 though I am appointed [11].
The building has a plane of the Latin cross form which assumed the west the front, and the dimensions are inside dimensions, and a little less than 50 meters of east and west, width are approximately 20 meters of north and south in a corridor wings part. In the nave, a small festival room by one is attached to 4 bays, east end of north and south corridor wings, and a plane is hemicycle with reserve forces [12]. Even the Silva Cannes monastery of the thing which the remains of an ancient structure of the slant tip tunnel vault (vault [13] different in high 起拱点 in right and left) remain in the west first bay of the south side corridor [14], and this is inherited in le トロネ, セナンク mentioned above and is not an annex is adopted structure [11].
