Masanao Tsuchiya
Masanao Tsuchiya (つちやまさなお) is a daimyo, member of the Shogun's Council of Elders of the middle of Edo era. Hitachi Tsuchiura feudal lord, Suruga Tanaka feudal lord.

Life
I succeed to birthright after birth, death of father as the eldest son of Tsuchiura feudal lord Kazunao Tsuchiya. I return to the Tsuchiura feudal clan afterwards via Suruga Tanaka feudal clan. I gradually receive Kamasu and finally become 95,000 stones. I take office as member of the Shogun's Council of Elders through agent, Osaka castle warden, Kyoto Acting Director and it becomes the member of the Shogun's Council of Elders top seat in (1698) for Genroku era 11 years and served four generals, but I object to Hakuseki Arai and Akifusa Manabe who developed secretary politics inwardly and, in the case of a successor fight of general Ietsugu Tokugawa, make an effort for support of Yoshimune Tokugawa subject to the abolition of the secretary for seven generations. It was assumed that Yoshimune becomes a general in an oral examination in member of the Shogun's Council of Elders, but it is said that it was only Masanao whom it was able to answer with two of three not to have disgraced somehow.
I resigned (1719), member of the Shogun's Council of Elders and went into retirement, and Chen of four men left birthright to Kyoho 4 directly and died at 82-year-old advanced age three years later. I received previous bureaucrats honorable treatment after a retired person in particular.

- 1694 (Genroku era seven years) on April 21 Kamasu (1 Mangoku)
- I take office as a member of the Shogun's Council of Elders top seat (Genroku era 11 years) on September 17 in 1698.
- 1711 (the Masanori first year) in December Kamasu (1 Mangoku)
- 1718 (Kyoho three years) on March 3 老中免, Kamasu (1 Mangoku)
