Career
I it (1984-1998) in the American times
Felix Jose contracted with Oakland Athletics in January, 1984 that was 18 years old. I was brought up in a minor league for the next several years and carried out a major debut by game with New York Yankees of September 2, 1988 (the Oakland Alameda county Colosseum). Athletics at the time greeted the second golden age, and the outsider whom Jose protected was buried because of Jose Canseco, Dave Henderson, a Rickey Henderson and others star player, and the participation opportunity that was enough until 1989 was not provided.
However, Jose was given the seat of the outfield regular because the ability of Jose was appreciated, and Canseco moved to the designated hitter who became vacant in designated hitter Dave parka and Athletics where term of a contract expired in 1990, the following day without contracting again. However, Jose could not leave a grade in response to expectation (until the end of August batting average .264, home run 8, RBI 39), and instead of acquiring outfielder Willy Maggie of the good hit at the end of August from St. Louis Cardinals, Athletics to prepare for for a postseason released Jose.
For 1,991 years, Jose played an active part from the first in a season and I was picked and I let it go through in a season and put batting average .305, home run 8, a good grade of RBI 77 in not only the monthly MVP of April but also the MLB all-star game starter. The blow power of Jose was in good health for 1,992 years, the following day, and I got the monthly MVP in May, and even the whole season left batting average .295, home run 14, RBI 75 and results ordinary in the previous year. However, Cardinals troubled with lack of extra-base hit aimed at the acquisition of the long-distance batter in those days and transferred to Kansas city Royals by an exchange trade with Gregg Jefferies in the off-season in the same year. In (1993), I was sluggish with batting average .253 in the first year in Royals, but showed batting average .303, home run 11, RBI 55 and a way of contact hitter in 1994.
Jose was released by some kind of reasons in May, 1995, the following day by Royals. I contracted with Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox, the Tronto Blue Jays, but Jose did not return to the Major League, and Jose played afterwards in independent leagues for several years.
Outstanding performance (1999) by the professional baseball in Korea
It was about 1999 that it was a turning point, and Jose who received an offer from the Korean LOTTE Giants in the same year contracted with LOTTE. Jose who went over to Korea showed batting average .327, 36 home runs, 122 runs batted in and remarkable activity. The activity of Jose provoked the chain reaction explosion of the batting order, and LOTTE went into a play-off after an interval of four years.
I changed the flow of the play-off by a game-ending home run by the fifth war that a team was made to stand in one win three defeats and the edge of a precipice by the play-off with Samsung Lions. I gave off the solo homer which started the counterattack from 盧長震 in the top of the sixth inning in pursuit of two points by the seventh round of three wins three defeats and the most end of the war that became equal. As it was Jose who already changed a flow of the series by a game-ending home run by fifth round, a lot of fans of Samsung excited out of uneasiness overturned by superiority of three wins one defeat threw a thing into the ground. A plastic bottle with the mineral water hits it directly between crotches of Jose in that. I threw a bat into the stands where Jose was enraged, and fans of Samsung gathered. While rabble Samsung fan and LOTTE player consider a ball net-proof in this in an interval; just before the scuffle it was such an uproar, and reached the police force for a suppression before was dispatched. This case is called "Taegu University scuffle". Jose was subjected to leaving, but, as for the game, LOTTE came from behind and won after this and decided a series advance in Korea.
Because a team participated in the series in Korea, there were various opinions over disposal for him, but, by the decision of the Korea baseball committee which considered an aspect of the performance of the Korea series, the participation to the Korea series permitted it and decided to give disposal of the ten games suspension in the championship season in the next year.
After 2000
In 2000, I submit LOTTE and the offer of the major baseball team to have something in both ways and contract with the New York Yankees. A measure was Jose whom I returned, but was not provided at a satisfied participation opportunity after an interval of five years because it was a backup player for time when a regular player was hurt.
2001 does not have the offer from a measure and joins LOTTE again. I caused a discussion again how you applied suspension disposal assigned to me in 1999. I came to be able to participate from the opening game in this year after all by soaking it with ten games disposed of during the period when I did not play by having a right interpretation of baseball Committee in Korea in Korea for one year in a season of 2000. I had square it for a pitch which hits the batter which I received by game with Samsung of this age from 裵英洙 and committed an assault.
I sparked the disturbance that Montreal Expos and a double contract with LOTTE came to light in 2002 and were discharged from LOTTE. I played in Mexico City Reds of the Mexican league in the same year, but I transferred to Arizona Diamondbacks in September and achieved major return three times. I participate in 18 games as a pinch hitter as a member of Diamondbacks in 2003, the following day.
I returned to Korean LOTTE after an interval of five years in 2006, but, via a Mexican league, became the dismissal from an organization by dullness afterwards in May in 2007.
There were many fans who did not think in his such manner willingly in Korea to write the offer of LOTTE baseball team and the measure baseball team for the have something in both ways on a shield by the great support from a fan of Pusan that was a stronghold of LOTTE after an outstanding performance in the LOTTE Giants every year in the off-season, and to contract with an advantageous side without stopping even a doubleness contract. Chunichi Dragons had examined acquisition, but the acquisition was not realized by the problem of this double contract habit.
I retire from having played in the beautifulness Bergh fryers of the independent league in 2009 last.
On June 25, 2013, I visit Korea for event attendance of the LOTTE Giants at the gods of harvest baseball field after an interval of six years.
