Bridge of the July 15 martyr

A bridge (しちがつじゅうごにちじゅんきょうしゃのはし, English: in July in 15 Martyrs' Bridge) of the martyrs is a suspension bridge built over the Bosporus in Istanbul, Turkey on July 15.

I might be called the first Bosporus Ohashi once to be called Bosporus bridge or Bosporus Ohashi (The Bosphorus Bridge), and to distinguish it from another Bosporus Bridge that appeared in the Bosporus (fur TIFF sultan Mehmed Bridge, under an alias second Bosporus Ohashi).

History

The bridging to the Bosporus was decided in 1957 by Prime Minister Adnan Menderes at the time. The completion is the next day of the memorial day of the 50th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey founding of a country on October 30, 1973.

A soldier blockaded the bridge by the coup attempt case that some militaries caused on July 15, 2016, and a citizen against this was sacrificed, and it was in a symbolic place. It was announced that was renamed to a current name on July 25 by the biNari ユルドゥルム (English version) prime minister [¹]; [²].

Traffic

The traffic is approximately 180,000 /day. A position of Chuo Line changes by time on weekdays. Because most of traffic are bound for the west leaving for the European side in the commuter rush hour of flat Japan and North Korea, 4 traffic lanes are assigned to traffic for the west among 6 traffic lanes. On the other hand, 4 traffic lanes are cut for traffic for the east toward the Asian side in the evening on weekdays, and, as for the west going, it is only in 2 traffic lanes. I was able to cross the bridge using the elevator in the tower after the opening to traffic on foot for four years, but the traffic of a walker and the commercial vehicle is prohibited now.

A tollgate is installed in the east side of the bridge, and a toll is imposed only for the vehicle which goes from the European side to the Asian side. The payment completely shifts to a rate automatic receipt system called OGS or a prepaid card system called KGS; from 2006 by the cash cannot pay.
