The bridge (today, Luo: British: pons) is one of the part of the brain. Be included in brainstem, and front and back are sandwiched between midbrain and medulla oblongata. I accomplish a ventral obstacle of the fourth ventricle. There is cerebellum on the back side across the fourth ventricle.

Because I swelled so that powerful fascicle (middle cerebellar peduncle) which lengthened from a cerebellar ventral wrapped this through a part of the brainstem and was seen when I observed the appearance of the brainstem from a previous ventral, I saw it and put up this part in "the bridge" where I appeared from cerebellum and was accompanied by this name.

Trigeminal nerve, abducens nerve, facial nerve, many cranial nerve nucleuses such as the auditory nerve exist. It is the part where cranial nerve appears. Much conducting pathway going by way of brainstem passes, and courses conveying the kineticism output from cerebral cortex to cerebellum via pontine nuclei, middle cerebellar peduncle exist.
