It is a perennation class of sweet potato genus (Ipomoea), and キバナハマヒルガオ (scientific name Ipomoea violacea) inhabits the world excluding the European Continent. Generally, I am called beach moon flower or sea moon flower and flower at night [²].

The corolla is white. Therefore, I do not mistake Ipomoea violacea for blue Ipomoea tricolor (ソライロアサガオ), but soft-headed Lee Gates of the cultivar is white, too. violeaca means purple.
