- カポホ is a small town of approximately 300 population. The cultivation of the papaya was carried out, but approximately 100 houses and hot spring resort facilities, fields became extinct by the lava flow that occurred on January 13, 1960 once [5]. The eastern クムカヒ cape is the easternmost tip of Hawaii, and クムカヒ means "the first beginning" by Hawaiian [5]. The tide pool such as the halftone plate formed of the lava which flowed out in the shore is called カポホ tide pool and can see saddle RAS, horn soup stock, a butterflyfish, a sea urchin, the creature such as the sea cucumber [6].
- Kalapana was a town located the east of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, but disappeared by a lava flow of 1990 [7]. A way (lava tube) to let you detour so that lava does not hit a town directly in Hawaii was established, but the tube which drifted to the west of Kalapana in 1990 when eruption calmed at one time makes it cooling, and it blocks it, and this is usually because it hit it directly to Kalapana [7].
