玄宥

) is a Buddhist priest of the Shingon Buddhism from to earlier period of Edo era (November 14, 1605) (1529) from the age of civil strife on - Keicho era October 4, 10 for 玄宥 (existence) Kyoroku two years.

Career

A child of 吹上城主膝付又太郎 of the country going out of power. I studied in Mt. Negoro from the 18-year-old time and learned the education and researches of various schools in Southern capital, garden castle temple, Mt. Hiei-zan. The Mt. Negoro of that time became the huge educational institution which had approximately 6,000 novice bonzes and prospered. I live in the one of the minor Zen temples intellect product House which were nearly 3,000 (1577) in the Mt. Negoro for Tensho era five years and I am recommended and take post of Buddhist clergyman of the Negoro mountain with 小池坊専誉.

However, because it was religion power tied to the Negoro temple being an educational institution, and having a large quantity of guns and many armed monks, and having had the huge armaments and area rule deeply, I had the Kishu conquest by Hideyoshi Toyotomi (1585) for Tensho era 13 years, and 玄宥 escaped in Mt. Koya-san. 玄宥 passed through the Houses of high barren mountain Mamoru God temple and Daigo-ji Temple three treasures of Kyoto of the Shingon Buddhism system afterward.

Permission of the intellect product House revival was started by Ieyasu Tokugawa, and it was done oblation after death of Hideyoshi (1600) in a Bo building and the land of the Toyokuni cherry blossom Shinto shrine precincts of Higashiyama, Kyoto in (1601) for Keicho era six years in the next year Keicho era five years by 玄宥 which continued suit wish of the revival, and the intellect product House was revived. Furthermore, I receive the oblation of 200 stones in (1602) for Keicho era seven years in the next year. I erected "the lower temple" with "an upper temple" and the lecture hall with the Bo building and called a temple name "五百佛山根来寺智積院" (いおぶさんねごろじちしゃくいん), and 玄宥 became the House of intellect product revival first. I died at 77 years old (1605) on November 14 for Keicho era ten years four years after the revival.
