Geography

The domain of the county includes フレンキシェ シュヴァイツ in southern part and Nishibe. This neighborhood is dotted with many caves including トイフェルスヘーレ (cave of the devil) and ゾフィーエンヘーレ (cave of ゾフィー). An overmine hill country occupies the county area central part. This name comes from the red Main flowing through here. This river gushes out from the southern part of Bayreuth and runs down towards a northwest direction, and I join the white Main in the west of culm Bach, and it is in the Main. A part of the フィヒテル Mountains is in the eastern part. Mt. a certain シュネーベルク is the place that is the highest at 960m above sea level in a county in this.

History

Today's county level was a part of the Bayreuth margrave territory until 1803. After the temporary rule in France, it became the Bayern kingdom territory afterwards in 1810. ポッテンシュタイン district court had been already established in 1804, and district under jurisdiction of district court was established each in 1812 by Bayreuth, peg Nitze, Weyden Berg. There was the location of the peg Nitze court of this time in シュナーベルヴァイト until 1842. Bayreuth has already become the county direct city as of 1812. Each district under jurisdiction of district court and Bayreuth belonged to the overflanken county at the start in the overmine county from 1838.

In 1862, Bayreuth district agency was founded from district under jurisdiction of Bayreuth district court and the Weyden Berg district district under jurisdiction of peg Nitze agency from district under jurisdiction of peg Nitze district court and the ポッテンシュタイン district. Both districts agency changed "a county" and the name from 1939.

By local government reorganization of the State of Bayern of 1972, Bayreuth county was established newly by a part (western アウフゼス) of the some (current ゲフレース city in northeastern county) エーベルマンシュタット county of most and the ミュンヒベルク county of Bayreuth county and the peg Nitze county, a part (domain of the northern baht bell neck) of the culm Bach county, a part (southern peg Nitze city ペンツェンロイト district) of the エッシェンバッハ in デア over Palatinate county. Bayreuth City oneself became the county seat of the extended Bayreuth county while being a county independence city. There was some merger of cities, towns and villages, and the county area of the Bayreuth county spread afterwards.

Traffic

Although I was inaugurated in 1848, there was a farce station (ゲフレース city) in the county, and, along Ludwig north and south railroad, ノイエンマルクト - Bayreuth railroad opened it in 1853. In 1863 ten years later, eastern part of Bayern railroad Co., Ltd. started service from Weyden to Bayreuth. I let the trunk route which reached mark Toledo Vitz via シュナーベルヴァイト travel from 1878 through peg Nitze from Nuremberg that Bayern government management railroad had never met in 1877. This route intersects a railroad in eastern Bayern in キルヒェンライバッハ (シュパイヒャースドルフ).

In the turn of the century, a local route began business by Bayern government management railroad.

(Hbf. is abbreviation of Hauptbahnhof indicating "a main station")

The passenger business route extended to 214km in this way. However, the local route was gradually abolished, and, as for the passenger service, only 149km was left. The abolished routes are as follows.

  • 1973: Farce - ゲフレース (5km) and crane trendy - Al temp loss - Bayreuth old city (9km)
