Aeneas (1172 Aneas) is an asteroid belonging to a backward Trojan asteroid of the Jupiter. Curl ラインムート discovered it in Heidelberg in 1933.

It was named Romulus who performed the founding of a country of Roma in the branch of Troia royal families for hero, Aeneas of the half-god assumed ancestors of Rems.
