ネゲヴ midair collision accident (1983 Negev mid-air collision) is the midair collision accident that occurred by F-15D fighter and A-4N air raider of the Israeli Russian aerospace defense system position that occurred over ネゲヴ desert in southern Israel on May 1, 1983. The F-15 approximately completely lost the right main plane in this collision, but is the case that became famous for what I continue flying it by oneself, and 帰投 did in the base.

Summary

It is the midair collision accident that occurred by an F-15D"Baz"957 machine [2] and an A-4N"Ayit"374 machine of the Israel air force 106th squadron position that enforced different kind plane battle training (English version) (DACT) in the ネゲヴ desert sky in southern Israel on May 1, 1983 of the military 116th squadron position. I did a bail out (aerial escape with the ejector seat), and the pilot of the A-4N air raider escaped death, but I fell, and A-4N was lost.

By a midair collision, was in a condition that the right ship's side main wing of F-15D left approximately 60cm from the root and was completely lost, but, by smoke (steam) which occurred by a fuel outflow, Yehoar Gal of Ziv Nedivi and the navigator of the pilot was not able to notice the thing [3]; [4] [5]. It was uncontrollable, and the F-15 was about to fall into it after a collision, but Ziv Nedivi did 増速 using an afterburner and regained the control of the body. The F-15 could get lift by left main wing, tailplane, body itself and continued flying without falling into a stall and landed at Ramon Air Force Base approximately 15km away from the collision place and was able to stop it on the terminal approximately 6m this side of the runway. Ziv Nedivi tells, "I might get out of the bail when I notice that the main wing disappears" later. However, he mentions the speed of the speed of the F-15, and say, "the wing would be unnecessary with the speed such as the rocket" [4]; [5].

F-15D 957th unit "sky blazer" of the accident machine was restored by a repair corps of the テルノフ Air Force Base and became able to manage it again in the 106th squadron.
