イグメニツァ (Greek :Ηγουμενίτσα/ Igoumenitsa) is a city in the Hellenic Republic イピロス district; the basic local government (D muslin) including the outskirts area. It is the prefecture capital of the professional player Tess tear prefecture.
It is a harbor city facing the Adriatic Sea. It is the terminal of the エグナティア expressway which links the northern part of Greece to the east and west.

History
The town of イグメニツァ was known for the name of ティタニ (Titani) in the ancient times. It was one of the most important cities of the professional player Tess tear kingdom who had a territory of 28 hectares in the fourth century B.C. Around the castle wall of ティタニ was 2,400m, and there were four gates. In the inside of the castle wall, a town was distributed between half in the form of the sickle. In addition, the circular tower built on the hill was splendid, and it was thought that it was a religious sanctuary. It was revealed that a theater and two shrines which could accommodate 2,500 people in ティタニ existed by recent excavation.
In addition, ティタニ was the city that associated of the エピロス alliance. The town was destroyed by coKazumasa Rome in B.C. 167 and was incorporated in the Roman Empire later.

The イグメニツァ city (ΔήμοςΗγουμενίτσας) is one of three basic local governments (D muslin) belonging to the professional player Tess tear prefecture.
7 local governments merged including old イグメニツァ city on January 1, 2011, and, with local government system reform (カリクラティス reform) carried out in 2010, イグメニツァ city started as the new local government (D muslin). The old local government was placed as an administrative section (ディモティキ エノティタ) that constituted the new local government.

The イグメニツァ district (ΔημοτικήενότηταΗγουμενίτσας) equal to the old イグメニツァ city before the カリクラティス reform consists of following キノティタ (city area, village) and a city, the village.
