Daisen Shinto shrine (a female-impersonator as for pitching a camp) is a Shinto shrine enshrined in Nishinoshima-cho, Oki-gun, Shimane. The former village shrine which is enshrined to the north foot of the fried volcano which is the highest peak of Nishinoshima in front of an island, the east of the Otsu village in the company in the expression. I had the relations that were close to the fried fire Shinto shrine where I collected faith as a guardian deity widely of the voyage security to be enshrined in the halfway up a mountain of the fried volcano.

Enshrined deity

Said not to read a divergent view in particular, but to originally do a fried volcano named "Oyama" (female-impersonator) with an object of worship (object of worship mountain), and to have worshiped mountain in itself [1].

History

It is considered 創祀 to have been considered to be it as ignorance, the Shinto shrine which is originally dedicated to Oyama (fried volcano) as the object of worship mountain as described above in the generation of 創祀. In addition, there are remaining site of nature cult and the remains of seen Hyogo (wall remains) of the latter period during the Burial Mound age to western 200m of the enshrining place and is supposed when the religious service of water concerned with farming or the spring was performed, but the relations with our Shinto shrine are unidentified [2].

Be known to the center early, and a mention is not known to the conferment of the shrine rank to "Engi era spirit in the principles of Yin and Yang death register" again as a small company of the Oki country intellect husband county, but is listed "従三位上 (mom) in "Oki God death register" [3] with Myojin, Daisen". When a fried fire god of the mountain came to gather veneration as God of the voyage security in (about 11-12 centuries) when the Sea of Japan transportation by water in the San-in district showed full-scale development in the latter half of the Heian era, and the loud musical accompaniment temple (former title of the fried fire Shinto shrine) by the mountaineering ascetic was performed an open wound of as hallowed ground of the mountains mountaineering asceticism again [4], the batman came to act as post of Negi of the Shinto shrine [1].

That Sasaki of the protection aiming at the stable rule of the Oki country seemed to act in the grasp of our Shinto shrine, and protection Yasukiyo Sasaki is relieved in post of Negi of 慈蓮 which fell into a crisis from the opposition with the farmer for a situation in Negi at the time in (1276) for Kenji two years [5], and that similarly 宗清 equal to the grandchild of 泰清 and an estimated person "leave 僧蓮浄 to orders of Kenji" in a lief-guard in (1326) for midline three years and, in the Middle Ages, act as lower than affairs of a company as post of て Negi; supplementary; leave it [6]. On the other hand, that to plan the Shinto shrine side (the Negi job side) since the current good field whole area around the enshrining place was organized in the manor, and it was in 美多庄 (called the beautiful many Houses) to escape from the rule system by being tied to protection power directly, and the close relations of both produced it here [7]. However, as for these relations, it is about time when it north and south morning service charges, and meeting, west territory that is a chief administrator of 美多庄 in (1334) in the Kenbu era first year and 道賢 of the land tax officer receive the life of the feudal lord by a big switch and "I do it this way for Oyamamiya Negi (malted rice) and cut of Shonai as charges field" [8], and the situation incorporated in a follower of 美多庄 is estimated because 公文道賢 is given a vacant seat and post of Negi where it was in posthumously of 上掲蓮浄 in (1369) for outcome, Oan era two years [9] that I was completely incorporated in 美多庄 in here and loses my eyesight of the document about our Shinto shrine after this, and it is thought that one (existing Kasagi house document) of which the relations document before it is informed by Mr. Kasagi thought to be the descendant of 道賢 shows it [2].

I did not clarify the later history, but the loud musical accompaniment temple of the put thing took charge of 如 くで subsumed into a loud musical accompaniment temple called "fried volcano size honorific title of a Japanese god" in the early modern times, the post of Shinto priest by 笠置氏 as a batman, and, in fact, the land belonging to a Shinto shrine [10] that was said to be it when there were 10 stones was Tomoyuki of the loud musical accompaniment temple and came to produce recognition that "a large god of the mountain" was fried fire honorific title of a Japanese god at last (loud musical accompaniment temple) [11].

I was separated from fried fire honorific title of a Japanese god by the gods and Buddha separation of the Meiji early years and did "Oyama Shinto shrine" with an official company name by "an Engi era type" and attended the village shrine in (1872) in 1872.

Religious service

Act of God

I do a festival day to "Oki topographical record" of (1833) with February 13 and June 14 for Tenpo era four years, but do current July 13 after the solar calendar enforcement with an annual festival day.

祀職

Post of batman of the temple served as Negi job in a cloud, but it is thought that the Kasagis considered to have undertaken post of land tax officer of 美多庄 later [2] came to attack the post of Negi, and, in the early modern times when a loud musical accompaniment temple came to gather veneration widely, the temple takes charge of it as a batman, and, the Middle Ages later, it seems that the actual situation of the thing which calls "a Shinto priest" it remained in gentleman-like participation in the Kasagis serving a village official [1]. When gods and Buddha separation policy of the Meiji is performed, a temple batman does laicization in a cloud in 1872, and I name Matsuura family name it, and it is a Shinto priest (current chief priest), and Matsuura succeeds to post of chief priest afterward.

Main shrine

The main shrine puts projecting rafter ends on the roof a shrine, a dried bonito to one ken of one, Kasuga Shrine-style structure metamorphosis (I am similar to Kasuga Shrine-style structure, but the main hall to pray is a Chinese gable, and the width becomes narrower than the width of the main house roof, too), ridge which I referred the Imperial morning prayer of the Chinese gable to in the front. Rebuilding of 1889. Toru of three ken of one ken of length of a crossbeam between the beam grows from under the main hall to pray and, following a front shrine of four ken of 入母屋造平入 between the length of a crossbeam five ken beam, touches one ken of main hall to pray in the front shrine front. The roof is all copper sheet roofing.

The torii in the place where I was below a stone stairway in front of a front shrine is made of granite of (1699) for Genroku era 12 years. It is the second oldest in Oki Island at the stone torii.

There is the storage of miniature shrine to put a food and wine offered to the gods place and a miniature shrine in elsewhere.
