It is an aunt of Buddha, and 摩訶波闍波提 (I mention it later about まか, はじゃはだい, the name) is a step mother. In addition, it is mother of 孫陀羅難陀 (そんだら, what). When Buddha died with realization later, I became the first Bhikkuni (in a fish basket the pupil boarding with his teacher of the woman).

In mightiness, 波闍波提, the mightiness (Mahā) is a title of the meanings "that big mightiness becomes" in India by sound copying of Mahā-prajāpatī of Sanskrit. 波闍波提 (prajāpatī/pajāpati) means the master of world. In addition, it is attention in it being for the name of God (in 33 sky Lord of Heaven of next of the Sakra Deranam Indra namely the second place) who is in the God region as for this when I take off a title of Mahā and assume it merely prajāpatī/pajāpati.

Priest

I returned to the castle without Buddha doing 成道, and report, her proceeding to the residence of a Buddhist image sculptor of ニグローダ tree Land of the suburbs of Kapila castle as the representative, and the will "to want to become a priest" of women of the Buddha group being permitted with the death of 浄飯王 in the fifth year though French asked for the permission three times while crying aloud. But if a Buddhist priest (person of priest of the man) was 250 religious precepts, it faced each other, and a priest was permitted with the proviso that I kept the Bhikkuni following 348 religious precepts, a condition of the octuple law. This of the Bhikkuni (person of priest of the woman) is said that first.

She had already got old, but she worked hard at ascetic practices, and I was trusted with state of arahat by the much Bhikkuni people. It is said that I did 入寂 in Vaisya Lee three months before French 入滅. The age at that time is said to have been 100 years old or 120 years old, but is informed it because I know what French 入滅 got closer to and it is sad to be present at the place and is not able to bear it even if I applied when I want to destroy it earlier.
