The website where the sky scanner (British: Skyscanner) handles a trip search, the rate comparison mainly on domestic and foreign airline tickets and application.
In addition, Skyscanner Ltd. is [1], an administration company of the service which establish the head office in U.K. Scotland Edinburgh (in the base in the registration London).

History
In 2001, Skyscanner Ltd. was established by Gareth Williams (Gareth Williams) and Barry Smith, Bonamy Grimes. A temporary website was produced in 2002, and a website formula opened in 2003 and established the company in Edinburgh again [2].
As for the early days, I was as a search object only by the navigation of the European low-cost carrier, but enlarge a search object to the navigation of the world airline including the United States and Asia again later a major airline. In 2011, the local head office which summarized the Pacific of Asia in Singapore was established [3]. Around Europe including the U.K., it is used widely in the United States or Russia.
I can use the service of the sky scanner free. The sky scanner does not perform ticketing in itself of the airline ticket, but adopts business model to profit by each airline of the forwarding address and click charging from the travel reservation site [4].
On July 8, 2015 to start Japanese service in 2011 [5], joint venture "sky scanner Japan" (Skyscanner Japan) was established in Tokyo (the Shin Marunouchi Building) in cooperation with Yahoo! JAPAN. With this, airline ticket search feature was added on Yahoo! JAPAN, and the service that it was changed automatically by the search results with the sky scanner when I searched it was started [6].
It was announced that I was purchased in November, 2016 by Chinese OTA, seat lip [7].
Service contents
I run the website application of the sky scanner by the language of world approximately 30. The airline ticket which collects rate information provided on a net, and the crawler of the sky scanner compares it when a user chooses search condition on a screen, and matched a condition is an automatic displayed system. The rate information applies to each airline and general rate of the travel reservation site, and the member-limited discount of each site is inapplicable. I am transferred to a site and the travel reservation site of each airline when I choose an airline ticket, and the user can complete the reservation of the airline ticket in a forwarding address.
- Flight (airline ticket)
It is for Web and, in addition to one way, coming and going, can search the airline ticket of open Joe, too (it is for application, and the open Joe airline ticket excludes it). By the search results, I display the rate by each airline (including LCC) and the rate by the travel reservation site in addition. I can use a price alert function to notify a user of automatically when I reserve the purchase after a search once when a low airline ticket fluctuated.
- Hotel
I display the rate on the official site in many hotels and display the rate of the room reservation site in addition.
- Rent-a-car
I display the rate of each car rental agency (including a store type, online model both sides).
