It is in the style of Japanese garden with a pond in the center garden which posted Tsukiyama in the at the back of the pond mainly on the murmuring to bind two of ponds and waterfalls, them together in the center.

Including the fragrant wood of high quality of the pine, I can enjoy a cherry tree and wisteria, an azalea, an iris, crape myrtle, colored leaves, the seasonal taste including branch-supporting snow-ropes.

A reed castle park (ろじょうこうえん) is a park located in Marunouchikouenmachi, Komatsu-shi, Ishikawa.

  • In the park which is next to the Komatsu-shi government office, various culture facilities (museum, library) are formed around in the park and a park. A hill, a pond are established in the garden and are got close as a place of recreation and relaxation for Komatsu citizen.

History

  • Guard of a castle was put in the reed castle park after Toshitsune Maeda death as a branch castle of the Kaga feudal clan in outermost outworks ruins of small Matsushiro where there was feudal lord Toshitsune Maeda as a retired person for the Kaga feudal clan third generation.
  • After small Matsushiro was performed an abandoned castle of, penal servitude on an island ground (equal to the current prison) was established in (1872) in 1872. It was opened as a park in (1904) in 1904 after penal servitude on an island ground moved to Kanazawa-shi in (1902) in 1902.
  • The origin of the name of the reed castle park comes from small Matsushiro trace (coined word of "reed" and "the castle") with having been the whole area where reed (reed) grew thick before a park is maintained. Monument and the Toshitsune Maeda image of the small Matsushiro outermost outworks trace are put in the garden and can know that there was ever small Matsushiro.
  • I am maintained carefully now by Komatsu-shi. Therefore I can see seasonal nature and the way of the management through one year, too.
