O-methylation flavonoid
O-methylation flavonoid (O-methyl or a flavonoid British: O-methylated flavonoids) or methoxyflavonoid (methoxyflavonoids) is a generic name of flavonoid that a hydroxyl group was methylated. The O-methylation affects the solubility of flavonoid.

Enzyme
Existence of specific O-methyl transferase (OMT) full of variety for the formation of O-methylation flavonoid is suggested [1]. The enzyme mediates the O-methylation of the specific hydroxyl group of 4' rank (Madagascar periwinkle [2]) or 3' rank (rice [3]). In the position of the O-methylation, the methylation of the 3-OH rank moves to the O-methyl transferase by possibility in Orth, meta, each para. Those all activity is seen in empty Muncie (Citrus mitis) [4].
