The authority of Kamigawara (かみがわらどおり ^[1]) is a name of a street of Nada-ku, Kobe-shi, Hyogo. The current administrative place name is authority of Kamigawara 4 from authority of Kamigawara 1. Number of the households 308 in the 2005 national census (as of October 1, 2005), a population of 611, house man 309, woman 302 [²]. The zip code is 657-0055.

Geography

In the north, in 千旦通, the east, in Hiebara-cho, the south, Shimokawa Toru Hara, the west pick up Tsuga River; an authority of rough sea north. 1-4 chome is arranged sequentially from the east.

History

It was established in an old riverbank character (riverbank village) from the northern part such as a wave girl (chew a habu), lower wave girl, quick wit, the groove edge.

Origin

According to "the name of a street of Kobe," the name of the riverbank village depends on being the place that I cleared along the riverbank of the Tsuga River [³]. The riverbank village belongs to Tsuga Zhuang in the Middle Ages; the feudal tenure of the House of view strange in the astronomy year.

In "a leather law travelogue" of Nanpo Ota who should have done well as cityscape of the pilgrimage around the thirty-three holy places in the Kinki district course in the Edo era [³] if "go the Ishiyagawa をかちわたりて on the surface of a field, there is a house; there is it with Kawaramachi といふ".
