Shimane art culture センターグラントワ (しまねけんげいじゅつぶんか センターグラントワ) is an art culture facility in Ariakecho, Masuda-shi, Shimane. I looked at Shimane Prefectural Iwami art museum and the Shimane Prefectural rock and was comprised in an art theater and opened it on October 8, 2005. The official name is "Shimane art Cultural Center", and "グラントワ" is a nickname.

Summary

The origin of "グラントワ" is French of the meaning to be called a large roof (Grand Toit). I was chosen from 16,456 points of application from the whole country. It comes from that the roof of the building is made with the big gabled roof which the calm red Iwami tile symbolizing scenery, climate of Iwami was used for.

Approximately 280,000 pieces of Iwami tiles which Shimane is proud of are used for a roof, the outer wall of the building. Version structure is adopted in a concrete occasion to have a complicated shape three-dimensionally to assume sound, a design, structure one thing in a coliseum wall surface, and reverberation time of (in 500Hz/ vacant seat) is found for approximately 1.8 seconds.

History

I am made from "Masuda-shi center city area activation basic plan", and, "the fourth Masuda-shi general promotion plan devised in March, 2001 when the need of the redevelopment of the Masuda-shi center was talked about from the 1970s," redevelopment is pushed forward in around Masuda station square district from about November, 2004. Shimane art culture センターグラントワ was built by this part and, besides, Masuda station square building EAGA was built in front of Masuda Station and the Some Nakajima feather line which went along the old city expanded it and was maintained.

  • From bush clover, Iwami Airport approximately 6km (to communication bus JR Masuda Station approximately 15 minutes)
  • A neighborhood bus stop is Iwami Kotsu "in front of グラントワ" bus stop, but is near from the Iwami Kotsu head office
