Shikano Onsen (しかのおんせん) is a hot spring in Shikanochoimaichi, Tottori-shi, Tottori (former Kanocho).
There is Shikano Onsen on the side of the valley circle same as Hamamura Onsen of upper reaches, but it is in late years and is relatively an open hot spring for the hot spring for the bath [2].

History
Hot water sprang out, and I was used for the treatment of the injury near by from ancient times by the paddy field [4]. The place name considered to come from the hot spring including "hot water" is left near by [2].
It was (1953) in 1953, and trial boring was carried out and full-scale digging was performed in the next year and, as a result of investigation by Tottori University, did open hot water [2]. There were 10 developed sources, and only one was a lot a simple radioactive spring with a simple spring [2]. Established the regulations in (1956) in 1955, and Kanocho would control all these sources intensively, and received the designation of the national hot spring recreation area by Ministry of Health and Welfare notification 351st (1966) on August 1 1966 [note 1]; [2].
In Shikano Onsen that became the national hot spring recreation area, hot spring Hospital, a health resort and a private pension village were maintained while blocking the advance of pleasure facilities [2]. Furthermore, the sanitarium of the private enterprise is founded, too and draws a hot spring [2]. Furthermore, a hill of the rear of the hot spring was developed land for and was sold in lots as Koshiji ヶ hill housing complex of 250 divisions. The hot water supply pipe of the hot spring is maintained in all residential land in this land for sale by the lot [2].
If Tottori depends on the investigation into that calculated ridership hot spring based on bath tax, in late years 20,000-30,000 users visit Shikano Onsen every year [3]; [note 2].
A freesia, a rabbit-ear iris or the rose cultivation are carried out using hot spring heat at the outskirts, too [4]; [2] [5].
