Table of contents

Summary

The first 1,000 tons grade destroyer [14] which was constructed in reference to a British naval try Baru grade destroyer [13]. It was the first Japanese Navy destroyer which carried a steam turbine, and two ships were simply constructed [11] that showed high speed of 33 knots.

Plan

The temporary war expenditures special accounts method was promulgated (1904) in March in 1904 just after the Russo-Japanese War outbreak of war [15], and hull, production costs 8 million yen of the intense destroyer of the consumption of the engine wanted to be performed Imperial decision of on April 7, the same year, and [16] was this budget, and the destroyer was not constructed. As for the war expenditures, the remainder moved to a general account (1907) on until March 31 in 1907 in this temporariness [15], and "war vessel supplement costs" (subsection) were set [17], and "wind blowing down a mountain" was constructed by this budget [18]. On the other hand, "navy maintenance ノ 議" was submitted as armaments plan future than a Minister of the Navy (1906) on September 28 in 1906 after the Russo-Japanese War end [19], and the plan of six large destroyers of approximately 900 tons of displacements was included in that [20]. "Supplement war vessel costs" (subsection) of the expenditure were set as this budget newly in 1914 from 1907, and "the sea breeze" was constructed on this budget [21]. As for the start of work, (1909), wind blowing down a mountain were the next year sea breeze in 1909 [22]. "Navy armaments enhancement ノ 議" was submitted as a new armaments plan (1910) on May 13 in 1910 and was summarized in "armaments supplement costs (subsection), warship production costs" (clause) including a past budget (including war vessel supplement costs, supplement war vessel costs) after the degree (1911) in 1911, and a plan was arranged [21]. As for two ships, building was just continued [23], and wind blowing down a mountain was completed sea breeze each in October, the following day in September of the year [22]. In addition, as for the manufacturing number, was said with "a back size destroyer" wind blowing down a mountain "an Italy size destroyer" sea breeze [22]; [24].

Warship type

Basic plan number F9[24]. The sea breeze type was born as a destroyer more than 1,000 tons of displacements at one sweep in the place where Japanese Navy destroyer at the time was around 380 tons of displacements [14]. [25], the can (boiler) were equipped with eight canned イ warship formal way by warship which there was many of the experimental trial [26]. The front (most) and a tail (the eighth) put one engine in one room in 重油専焼缶, and the seventh put two canned blend firing in one for one set from the second of the center and installed a fuel hole facing each other [26]. Was all eight engines 重油専焼 and a plan to do at first, but, concerned about there being little production in Japan and a future price remarkable rise, checked six to a heavy oil coal blend firing can [27]; [28].

In addition, I put a turbine on the main plane by Japanese Navy destroyer for the first time [11]. I imported the turbines from British Parsons Corporation through Mitsubishi [13], and a central spindle was 3 axis warships which did a high pressure turbine, the low-pressure turbine that the left right axis was larger if a direct connection-type [27]. In addition, was equipped with a high pressure cruise turbine and a moderate pressure cruise turbine for each one, and, as for the high pressure cruise turbine, that of moderate pressure was directly connected to in the port axis by the starboard axis [27]; [29]. In addition, I turn the discretionary reserve of the production budget for two ships in anticipation of the future and purchase the production right of the Parsons expression turbine [30]. The wind blowing down a mountain becomes 28,921HP by the plan [13] in a planned place of 20,500HP, and the output starts speed 34.61 knots (plan 33 knots) [10]; [explanatory note 1].

兵装 was equipped with the 4.7 inches (original 12cm) gun 2 gate, the 3 inches (7.62cm) gun 5 gate [8]. (because I transcribe 3 inches gun into an 8cm gun later in the Japanese Navy, I describe each with a 12cm gun, an 8cm gun in the following). It was a plan mounted with 4 inches (approximately 10.2cm) gun at first, but it was checked on the way by the 12cm gun deployment [31], and, as for the 12cm gun, it was to a standard gun of the Japanese Navy destroyer for a long time afterwards [13]. In addition, as for the sea breeze, an 8cm gun was equipped with a 12cm gun behind a rear mast before the completion forward [32]. The vibration of the hull at the time of the high speed running was intense in the examination by "sea breeze" before the completion, and the aim of the 12cm gun was impossible [33]. Therefore, as for the rear 12cm gun, the fifth 8cm gun was moved to the former position (the 160th frame) of the 12cm gun to 1 frame rear of the former position (the 140th frame) of the fifth 8cm gun [34]. Because I am completed without being equipped with 砲, a discharge pipe, and "the wind blowing down a mountain" was going to be equipped in Sasebo naval shipyard about the time [35], at the time when [36], "the sea breeze" do not interfere with labor just after the completion in Sasebo approximately one year after the completion, と official order appears [37]. But the photograph which puts a 12cm gun on the rear mast rear (before the change) is not found [38].

In addition, it was equipped with a multi-launching torpedo tube (diameter 18 inches = 45.7cm) for the first time in Japan [13]. Is said that carry 単装 at the time of the completion without the development of the multi-launching discharge pipe being enough and was changed for multi-launching just after the completion [11]; [explanatory note 2].

As a warship type change after the completion, I add to the height of the chimney most and establish the watch place on the front part mast newly again [39]. In addition, I removed the fifth (tail) 8cm gun (1919) at the time in 1919 and changed a stern flagpole to a sloping shape and installed a first unit thunder laying rail or throwing down facilities [40].

Use, other

Change of the expulsion corps, minesweeping corps

The sea breeze type spends most time to removal from a register in an expulsion corps, minesweeping corps. But I am mixed with an anhedron-type destroyer frequently because four ships organize a one of the capacity expulsion corps because it is two warships of the same type.

The 16th expulsion corps (second expulsion corps )→ 32nd expulsion corps → 17th expulsion corps → sixth minesweeping corps

The 16th first expulsion unit which I organized by sea breeze, wind blowing down a mountain of the Yokosuka naval station family register. Because the expulsion corps of 横鎮 was made even with a number of the first ... tenth from April 1, 1918, I succeeded to the number of the first generation second expulsion corps consisting of the divine wind type destroyers that slid to the fifth expulsion corps. I withdrew from the expulsion corps on April 30, 1918, but I join return, Japanese oak type destroyer Japanese oak of the successor, Enoki to the second expulsion corps in only three months, and it is in the second class hermaphrodite-type concoction expulsion corps, and it is this member until removal from a register in 1936. I am transferred to the Maizuru naval station in November, 1918 and become the expulsion corps for the 32nd for the second generation. With the Maizuru naval station abolition, I am transferred to the Kure naval station in 1922 and become the expulsion corps for the 17th for the second generation. Because I turned to a minesweeper than a destroyer in 1930, all four of them turned all together in the sixth minesweeping corps. Position military unit and the changes of the position destroyer are as follows. The military service of each warship refers to the item of each warship.

I organize the 16th expulsion corps by sea breeze, the wind blowing down a mountain that it has been completed on June 25, 1912, and a Yokosuka mine group belongs [60]. Fleet position [62] [61] first from August 15, the same year until December 1
Fleet position [64] [63] first from August 10, 1913 until November 15
Fleet first mine squadron position [65] first on August 10, 1914.
I act in the South Sea Islands which organize pommel horse and others and a first south trainer detached force on September 14, 1914 [66].
I return to the first mine squadron on February 5, 1915. [The source required]
It becomes the 16th expulsion corps admission [67], irregularity three formation by seaside wind type destroyer seaside wind on December 1, 1915.
Fleet second mine squadron position [68] second on December 13, 1915.
I return to the seaside wind secession [69], two systems on April 1, 1917. It deviates from the second mine squadron on the same day [70].
I revise an expulsion corps number in a change, the second expulsion corps (two generations) on April 1, 1918 [71].
April 30, 1918 sea breeze, the wind blowing down a mountain secession. Enoki succeeds to the second expulsion corps a Japanese oak completed on the same day [72].
August 1, 1918 sea breeze, wind blowing down a mountain return [73]. I continue afterward as a combined unit of sea breeze, wind blowing down a mountain, Japanese oak, Enoki.
I am transferred in the Maizuru naval station on November 2, 1918 and am renamed to the 32nd expulsion corps (two generations) [74]. The on the same day first fleet first mine squadron [75].
It deviates from the first mine squadron on November 5, 1920 [76].
It is transferred with the Maizuru naval station abolition on December 1, 1922 by the Kure naval station. I am renamed to the 17th expulsion corps (two generations) [77]. A Kure naval station spare warship.
December 1, 1923 Maizuru important port part position [78].
A December 1, 1925 Kure naval station spare warship.
December 1, 1926 Zhenhai important port part position [51].
A December 10, 1928 Kure naval station spare warship.
I change a classification of it to all the warships, a minesweeper on June 1, 1930. I perform a disbandment of the 17th expulsion corps [79] and organize the sixth minesweeping corps, and the Kure naval station family register, a Kure defense corps belong [80].

The seventh (old sea breeze), the eighth (old wind blowing down a mountain), the ninth (old Japanese oak), the tenth (former Enoki)

An April 1, 1936 sixth minesweeping corps disbandment [81].

The seventh, the eighth removes from a register, and the ninth, the tenth admits odd jobs ship.
