A national research and development corporation quantum technology research and development system (りょうしかがくぎじゅつけんきゅうかいはつきこう British: National Institutes for Quantum and Radiological Science and Technology, abbreviated designation: laboratory of quantity mechanism, QST) is a research institute of Japan.

I was established by integrating some quantum beam sections of the national research and development corporation Japan atomic energy research and development mechanism and the nuclear fusion study section with national research and development corporation Natl. Inst. of Radiological Sci., and changing a name.

The research field is radiology and a quantum beam (radiation, high-strength laser, emission light), nuclear fusion.

Study base

  • Radiology synthesis research and development section
  • Quantum beam scientific research section
    • Institute for Takasaki quantum application
The research institute which performs a radioisotope experiment. I perform the production of the radioisotope used for medical business or creature experiment.
    • Kansai light science laboratory
Two places of Kizu, Kyoto district (Kizugawa-shi Kansai Science City) and the Harima, Hyogo district (Harima Science Garden City). I perform a use of photon beam study, a source of light development study, neutron life scientific research, high calculation science technology research, emission light scientific research.
  • Nuclear fusion energy research and development section
    • Institute for Naka nuclear fusion
The research institute of the Tokamak type nuclear fusion experiment in the country. I am building JT-60SA
    • Institute for six places of nuclear fusion
It is a site proposed for former ITER and performs IFMIF design activity.

Main facilities

  • TIARA: Ion irradiation research facility
  • It is a large size emission light facility SPring-8. I have the beam line for exclusive use of 2 horns.
  • HIMAC : Heavy particle line medical treatment equipment
  • JT-60SA : Tokamak type nuclear fusion experimental reactor
