Home ネイションズ (British: Home Nations) is a generic name with two meanings depending on context. I mean ネイション (nation) of the constitution country of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales) politically. If the sports are unified by the sports by an organization representing the whole Irish island like association of rugby in Ireland, "home ネイションズ" points to アイルランドネイション as ネイション (England, Scotland, Wales) and the entirety to constitute Great Britain. This double meaning continues from the division (English version) that the whole area was included in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 1800 through 1922 of Ireland to date. The term home countries (home countries) may be used as a synonym, too.

This term is used for showing seven teams of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland participating in Commonwealth games by federation of British bicycle (English version) and the Royal Family soil (Isle of Man, jersey, Guernsey) [1]. Royal Family soil is not a part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland [2].

Soccer

Originally, by the association football (soccer), home ネイションズ showed 4 representatives from United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland team. These teams (England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales) were called home ネイションズ. Football association of Ireland organizes a representative of soccer Republic of Ireland, and an Irishman football association organizes a representative of soccer Northern Ireland today.

A discussion continues whether you recognize the participation of the player belonging to each association to a British representative organized by the London Olympics between England, Scotland, Wales, 4 Football Association of Northern Ireland in 2012 from 2005. The English Football Association (The FA) and the news media use a term "home ネイションズ" to explain a member participating in a discussion simply [3]; [4].

Rugby union

In 1883, the first home ネイションズ championship (English version) was held between England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales. At this point of Irish history, Ireland is still under the rule of the U.K.; in a reason representative Ireland called home ネイションズ [5]. In 1910, France participated in this meeting formally and was renamed to the five ネイションズ championship. In spite of the division to Northern Ireland and Irish Free State (Republic of Ireland in the back), Ireland continues having single national team on behalf of all Ireland and may be still called home ネイション by a reason though it is not home ネイション of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland anymore. When France was thrown out of the meeting of 1932, the meeting name returned to home ネイションズ tournament until return of 1939 of France. The meeting was stopped afterwards until 1947 by World War II. The meeting name becomes the current six ネイションズ championship after Italy participated in 2000.

I call that a team of home ネイションズ delivers victory to other home ネイションズ three teams Triple Crown (English version) (triple crown). Home ネイションズ forms a joint team known as British and Irishman Lions again. It is said that the team of the Southern Hemisphere which won during the expedition once in all home ネイションズ four teams achieved a grand slam (English version) [6].
