Comics work of Akito Yoshitomi that "EAT-MAN" (Eatman) was published serially from 1996 through 2003 in "monthly surprise コミックガオ." A book is all 19 volumes, and Vol. 15 (MOLE) becomes all the newly written story. EAT-MAN'98
1998年にテレビ東京系にて放送された。ほとんどが原作に沿ったストーリーで構成されている。ボルトのサングラスは黒色。音楽に関しては、今井裕、MAGICが担当している。 ボルトの再生エフェクトも前作とは違い、原作通り「生える」ようになっている。
アメリカで発売されたDVD版は吹き替えされているが2話までで、3話以降は字幕のみ。日本版DVDとは異なり放送順で収録されている。
