2007 France assembly general election

Commentary

It followed that association of ruling party, people's social campaign of the France President Sarkozy position occupied the majority of the National Assembly. Association of people's social campaign got nearly 40% of vote rates by the first electoral round and added a wide margin to the Socialist Party of the main opposition party. Ruling party landslide victory was expected by the second vote, but the Socialist Party regains it and fights well. The ruling party reduced a seat, and it followed that the Socialist Party lengthened 46 seats. Although the ruling party occupied a secure majority, the judgment of the slightly stern nation was given to the Sarkozy Administration.
