Bond albedo
It is the ratio that the bond albedo (Bond albedo) reflects it among the electromagnetic waves which were incident on the heavenly bodies, and was scattered in the outer space. It was named for the George Philips bond which I suggested.
The bond albedo is quantity to be necessary to determine how much energy the heavenly bodies absorbed to add up all wavelengths, all phase angles. In addition, I am used for determination of equilibrium temperature of the heavenly bodies.
Because they are observed at a very low phase angle from the earth, in the heavenly bodies out of the solar system, the data of the reliable bond albedo of the heavenly bodies are provided only from a space probe.
Table of contents
Phase integral calculus
Bond albedo (A) has following relation to geometry albedo (p).
Here, q is called phase integral calculus and I integrate dispersion flux I(α) of a certain direction in phase angle α (the mean of all wavelengths and magnetic declination) and am provided.
Phase angle α is an emission source (usually the sun) and the corner between observation directions and takes the values from 0 degrees to 180 degrees. For example, at the age of a full moon, the value of α is very small, and 180 degrees is near at the age of the new moon.
Example
The bond albedo includes all possible airlight (but the emission from heavenly bodies in itself does not include it) and takes a value from 0 to 1. This is symmetric with the geometry albedo that may exceed 1. The bond albedo is the price that is bigger than geometry albedo by the surface of the earth of the heavenly bodies and atmospheric composition, and it is in a small value.
An example [1]:
| The name | Bond albedo | Visible geometry albedo |
|---|---|---|
| Mercury | 0.119 | 0.138 |
| The Venus | 0.90 | 0.67 |
| The earth | 0.306 | 0.367 |
| Mars | 0.25 | 0.15 |
| Jupiter | 0.343 | 0.52 |
| The Saturn | 0.342 | 0.47 |
| Enceladus | 0.99 | 1.4 |
| Uranus | 0.300 | 0.51 |
| Neptune | 0.290 | 0.41 |
| Pluto | 0.4 | 0.44-0.61 |
| Ellis | 0.96 |
