By powerful bow tie Inge, I showed the charm of the viola clearly different from the violin, and it was the pioneer of the later viola soloist. In addition, it is music written for Primrose, and the viola concerto of "ラクリメ" of Britain and Bartok contributes to the birth of modern viola soli.

Brief career history

Father Joan Primrose was the violin player of the orchestra and a viola player and was the appraiser of the stringed instrument. Originally Primrose begins activity as a violinist, but converts to a viola by the advice of イザイ where I studied under in Brussels. I am invited as Toscanini and take office as a top viola player over the United States on forming the NBC symphony orchestra in 1937 after having been in charge of a viola player of the London string quartet. I formed Primrose string quartet (シェムスキー, Gingold, Schapiro) and worked on a performance afterwards while I was active as a soloist. I was eager in an instructional activity in the later years and acted as a professorship in Indiana University and University of Southern California and dealt with developing instruction in Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and Toho Gakuen School of Music when I visited Japan.
