Seiichi Kataoka (かたおかせいいち, 1911 (1911) from July 23 to 1999 (1999) February 26) is a Japanese politician. Liberal Democratic Party member of the House of Representatives. ToyamaTonami-shiA native place.
Origin, person
After Tokyo Imperial University law department politics subject graduation, it is entered a ministry by the Department of the Interior. After having acted as the Mayor of Tonami, I lose though I run for the 32nd member of the House of Representatives general election of 1969 as a successor of Kenzo Matsumura from two wards of old Tomiyama. I win for the first time in the 33rd member of the House of Representatives general election of lasting 1972 (in the successful same period Junichiro Koizumi, Koichi Kato, Taku Yamazaki, Shintaro Ishihara, Hiroshi Mitsuzuka, Kanezo Muraoka, Okiharu Yasuoka, Tsutomu Kawara, Michio Ochi, Tsuyoshi Noda, Takashi Fukaya). Six times of afterward consecutive election. I belonged to the Yasuhiro Nakasone group in the LDP and acted as the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications of the Takeshita Cabinet until June from December, 1988 to the next year. 1989 Grand Cordon of the Order of the Sacred Treasure receipt of a decoration. 1990 politics retirement.
I die because of heart failure on February 26, 1999. Age at death 89 (87 years old death).
