A sculptor, the painter that オシップ アレクセーエヴィチ ザッキン (Ossip Zadkine, the real name: Osip AlekseevičCadkin (Tsadkin), Cyrillic notation: for ОсипАлексеевичЦадкин (オシップ アレクセエヴィチ ツァトキン), Jewish excellent ИосельАроновичЦадкин (ヨセリ アロノヴィチ ツァトキン), from July 14, 1890 to November 25, 1967) is from Belarus Vitebsk of the former Russia territory.
Father of ザッキン was born and raised in the Jewish family rich economically in the teachers who taught language study in Siwash and majored in molding studies while learning English in an applied fine arts school of Sunderland of the northern part U.K. which there was of the parents' house of mother in 1905. I touched the classic sculpture in the British Museum of London and did it and strongly received influence and wanted to be a sculptor afterwards.
I go over to France Paris in 1909 and get to know Pablo Picasso and Amedeo Modigliani, Tsuguharu Fujita and play an active part as an artist of the Ecole de Paris (Paris school) together. I am known as a sculptor of キュビスム, but I am affected by the black sculpture, and there are many simple works which I reconstitute while adopting technique of Africa. More than a limit of キュビスム which was apt to become inhuman, I brought about the original molding that was filled with vitality, and overflowed.
I get to know ヴィランティーヌ プラックス (Valentine Henriette Prax) which was paintress from Algeria which moved in to the next door in 1920 and put up Fujita to the witness in the next year and get married.
I escaped from war damage from 1940 and went over to the United States, but I went back immediately after the war and I energized based in Paris until I sank and won "sculpture grand prix" by Venice Biennale in 1950 followed by it was the sculptor who won "art nation grand prix" in 1960, and represented France both in name and in reality and acted as a professor of エコール デ ボザール (national Beaux-Arts) of Paris from 1962.
In addition, the atelier of ザッキン in the center of Montparnasse and ヴィランティーヌ of the wife and the house exists and is opened to the public as "ザッキン Museum" from 1982.
The mediation of Fujita is known as the Japanophile whom I continued exhibiting at a two department exhibition as a member of two department society foreign country which there is, too, and even Japan can see many works.
