Marcel ビジャール (Marcel Bigeard, from February 14, 1916 to June 18, 2010) is Meurthe-et-Moselle Tours-born French army officer, politician of France. It is the person who played the part who is important in the first Indo-China War and war in Algeria. The military career began with the rank and file and reached the flag officer without passing through a military academy and Military Staff College. In works of Jean Larteguy, it is commented that I made it to a sergeant if the world is the world [1].

Blue boyhood
Marcel ビジャール is born between father Loran of the railroader and mother Sophie of the difficult character on February 14, 1916. There was older sister Charlotte who was 4 years old older. The Loran instills patriotism in Marcel, and this affects the later life.
I quit a school to support the family budget when I become 14 years old and will work in local Societe Generale. Because it reached at an age for military duty in September, 1936, I am summoned and am assigned to the 23rd infantry of the Maginot line deployment to be stationed in Bas-Rhin アグノー. Much duty manners were not earnest, but they are promoted to a senior corporal during enl. of 2 years and are discharged from military service. I return to the hometown and return to a bank work again afterwards.
World War II
World War II breaks out in September, 1939, and the French military starts mobilization, and ビジャール is called on promotion again by a sergeant and is assigned to the 79th fortress infantry stationed in オファン. Meanwhile, I was promoted to a lower adjutant. Invasion of Nazis Germany in France begins before long and becomes the captive of the German military in June, 1940. I tried escape and, after failure, succeeded in the escape from a prisoners' camp on November 11, 1941 and went to the North Africa twice to join the Free French. After I was promoted to a second lieutenant in 1943, and the special operation with the British army was trained in 1944, I sneaked into France under the occupation by an air strategy descent as a member of the four corps to teach resistance activity in アリゼ ドパルトモン to contact with near an Andorran border. For the superior German military, I put military gains by the bold ambush tactics, and British D.S.O. is conferred. "Bruno" who is a nickname of ビジャール comes from the code name that I used during this period. I am promoted to a captain afterwards by the end of the war.
The first Indo-China War
I am dispatched to Indochina in October, 1945. I come back to Indochina again though I return home after duty for 2 years and work in the third Thailand battalion and Indochina march battalion, and it is the battalion commander of the sixth colony parachute battalion in July, 1952. I descend as an advance party in Dien Bien Phu in November, 1953 and withdraw after important area security. On March 16, 1954, I descend as reinforcement of the fights of Dien Bien Phu in the エリアンヌ position and am unsuccessful though I plan the recapture of the アンヌ = Mary 1 /2 position. Pierre orchid goes wrong afterwards; with a lieutenant colonel in the fact of the Dien Bien Phu defense war command. I am promoted to a lieutenant colonel during a battle and, after the fall of the Dien Bien Phu position group, become the captive of the Viet Minh forces.
War in Algeria
I contract a disease for yellow fever in captive life while I endure brainwashing work by the Viet Minh and I am freed from a captive in three months and return home. ビジャール noticed the essence of the guerrilla by the Indo-China War, and the communist was convinced that I challenged it by a guerilla war in the next battlefield. After a rest, I am dispatched in French possession Algeria and take office as the regiment commander of the third colony parachute regiment which has been already stationed in the field. However, though the regiment was a paratroop, the majority consisted of the reservist to satisfy number, and 錬度, the quality of soldiers had intense unevenness. ビジャール set sail for the exclusion of the misfit immediately and arranged the transfer of a census register opportunity to other military units to an applicant. And I sent officers that the quality that remained behind was excellent into the mountainous area and worked hard at the hard training for two months. I came back to Algiers after training and I carried out a parade and showed off outstanding high efficiency to citizens. The overseas cap (casquette ビジャール) for the paratrooper who used ビジャール in particular habitually gets a lot of looks conspicuously and becomes the symbol of the paratroop with a parachute badge later, and it is the admiration of young people of much France.
The third colony parachute regiment which ビジャール commanded came to be considered to be the model of other paratroops in Algerian stationary forces. When I inspected troops of a military unit, I did not like the landing from a helicopter and appeared by a parachute descent daringly and showed off a performance to show a wonderful salute with a landing. The third colony parachute regiment performs a sweep war in each place, and it is the main force by the fight of Algiers of 1957. I carried out "Operation grid" and restricted a suspect in sequence to smoke out the organization where ビジャール hid behind in casbah. The torture for the detainee was carried out in the process. However, it is said that I did not commit suicide if at the hand of ビジャール by the killing of ラルビ Ben ムヒディ [2].
When a sweep war in Algiers is over, I return to the battle in the inland and play an active part in the fights of アグーネンダ. I was praised with Lord Atlas from the tenth parachute divisional commander Jack Matthew by these activity. I change a regiment commander with Roge Trang Kie in March, 1958 and I make an effort for フィリップヴィル to realize the anti-guerilla war process of the education period for one month for captain officers and, by the life of the Jack シャバン Dell trout Secretary of State for Defence, establish the facilities to offer in this in the Jeanne d'Arc shore and found rest, the morale recovery center for the paratroop, popular name "Jeanne d'Arc school".
I became a commander of the district under jurisdiction of Setif in 1959 and I returned to the line of battle in March and participated in a sweep war by the シャール plan. I kept self-control in the revolt of generals of 1961 and did not take part in the rebel army.
War post
I am promoted to a brigadier general in 1967 and arrive at the Commander Dakar stationary forces. I arrive at the Commander Indian Ocean area stationary forces in 1970 and work until a political change in Madagascar of 1973. I was appointed Under Secretary of State [3] to district under jurisdiction of Paris military vice-inspector-general after returning home in France in 1975 by Valery President Giscard d'Estaing and hit the exile of revolution molecules and the harmony molecules which an inflow or tuning converted to in the military which became gigantic by mobilization in morale rebuilding business and the wartime of the prostrate military which assumed war and the disarmament that continued for many years a factor during term in office. I retire in lieutenant generals on August 4, 1976.

I am elected as a representative from National Assembly of Union for French Democracy from the Meurthe-et-Moselle electoral district in 1978 and serve until 1988. I work on the writing such as autobiographies mainly afterwards.
