A Kurobe gorge railroad EH form electric locomotive (くろべきょうこくてつどう EH がたでんききかんしゃ) is an electric locomotive for the direct current which Kurobe gorge railroad introduced in 1974. It becomes the EHR form electric locomotive by the later remodeling now.
Summary
Hitachi, Ltd. remodeled ED15, ED16 of the convex electric locomotive in 1974, and two cars of EH101, EH102 were produced. It is a remodeling machine nominally, but a motor was misappropriated from a kind car, and the body or a cart are the articles which were produced all newly. Having the output of 336kW in EH101, EH102, it is a locomotive of the strongest power in Japan at the special narrow gauge (narrow gauge) of 762mm between the gauge.
It is a form same as a Japanese National Railways EH10 form electric locomotive and is common to two connection bodies to the place of the single driver's cab, but this can run even an airplane making a lone flight. Therefore each thing body on the pretence of EH form names a number according to each it. But only one direction has a driver's cab. The production became only EH101, EH102, and I was changed to production of ED form ED23 - ED28 of both driver's cabs where there was the double-header driving freely afterwards by various kinds of circumstances.
I won Laurel Prize of the meeting of the railroad friend as an electric locomotive for the first time in 1975 [1].
増速改造 was performed in 1993 and was changed to EHR form EHR101, EHR102 afterwards.
