An international university (こくさいだいがく) is the private university where Koza City (current Okinawa-shi) matched. It is the university of the forerunner of the current Okinawa international university. It is different from the international university of the private university installed in Minami-Uonuma-shi, Niigata in 1982.
I was established in 1962. The mother's body was renamed to "an international school Foundation" with the university establishment in "the Koza school which ran Ryukyu international junior college Foundation", and, in the junior college, it was in international university junior college region.
I reorganized "an international school Foundation" with the enforcement of the Private School Act (1965 legislation 111th) of 1967 in "an educational foundation international school".
Because it did not reach "a university setting standard" of the Ministry of Education, unification with the Okinawa University was demanded at the time of return of 1972, and I integrated some Okinawa University, and Okinawa international university was established newly.
Approximately 2,500 people graduated by return in those days at the only university in the Okinawa Island central part.
