Higashikushira-cho (Higashi comb and others butterfly) belongs to Kimotsuki-gun in a town in the Kagoshima Osumi Peninsula. I fill up Gulf of Shibushi of the town area, and an oil reserve base is built.

History

近現代

  • Hoeichou, river Higashi-son, Kaibaracho, Shinkawanishi-mura, Tojimmachi, river Nishimura, Iwahiro-mura, Ikenohara-mura merge with - municipality organization enforcement on April 1, 1889, and Higashikushira, Kimotsuki-gun village is formed. I divided 串良郷 (cf. castle system outside about the volost) into the east and west, and town organization took effect later, and "西串良" became Kushiracho and was complicated with Kanoya-shi in 2006.
  • Higashikushira village enforces town organization on October 1, 1932. It becomes Higashikushira-cho.
