The Helena Victoria of シュレスウィグ = Holstein (English: on Helena Victoria of Schleswig-Holstein, May 3, 1870 on Windsor, England - March 13, 1948 Windsor) is a member of the British Royal Family in the public women of the person of シュレースヴィヒ = Holstein = ゾンダーブルク = アウグステンブルク of the German = Denmark system. One of the granddaughters of the Queen Victoria. All names Victoria Louise Sofia Augusta Amelia Helena (Victoria Louise Sophia Augusta Amelia Helena).

Life

I was born in a frog more house (Frogmore House) which stood as the third child, eldest daughter between third daughter Helena of younger brother Christian of the Lord of シュレースヴィヒ = Holstein Friedrich eighth and the Queen Victoria near Windsor castle. The parents spent Cumberland lodge (Cumberland Lodge) in the U.K. as a house, and four children were considered to be the member of the British Royal Family of the wide sense, too. I was called by a nickname of "the solar" (Thora) from a family, but might be called by the nickname of "the snipe" (Snipe) which meant a snipe because I had strong-minded features. In addition, the formal name called "Helena Victoria" reversed the beginning and end of her six baptismal names and connected it.

Helena Victoria remained single throughout the life and engaged in various philanthropies in a copybook in mother and contributed to Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA), YWCA (YWCA), prince Christian Hospital in Windsor very much. I form a woman assistance to YWCA corps and, during World War I, become the captain by oneself and console the British troops which get the permission of the Kitchener earl of the Secretary of State for War, and are stationed in France.

In July, 1917, British King George V changed the family name of royal families to the House of Windsor and I abandoned a title derived from Germany and called German relatives who lived counting on the British Royal Family to be naturalized in the U.K. formally. Helena Victoria abandoned the family name of the person of アウグステンブルク with parents and younger sister Mary Louise that got a divorce, and returned to the U.K. However, unlike the relative of other German British royal families, the family does not receive a British noble title and will call myself only merely prince, a princess in form without the family name.

Younger sister Mary Louise moved to the ションバーグ house of the suburbs of London with Helena Victoria who lost a war interphase, parents and energized as a patron of musicians in this mansion. During World War II, the ションバーグ house was destroyed by the air raid of the German military, and the sisters moved in Westminster district, the Fitz Morris palace of the Berkeley square. Helena Victoria suffered from a severe disease after the war and was forced to the life with the wheelchair finally. I died in home Fitz Morris palace in 1948 and was buried in the mausoleum of the British Royal Family of the frog more.
