The tooth which shears meat and the bone that the carnassial tooth (れつにくし) is seen in many carnivorous mammals like scissors.

The carnassial tooth is greatly used for shear of the tough meat, the crush of the bone with a pointed shape. When a carnassial tooth is lost, in the wild flesh-eating animals such as a wolf or the lion, I die by starvation.

In the cat eyes, the maxillary last one premolar and lower first molar become the carnassial tooth. However, with the Cenozoic meat tooth eyes, maxillary first molar and the lower second molar which were the rear or maxillary second molar and lower third molar became the carnassial tooth more.
