The Asahikawa-shi citizen activity interchange center (Asahi interchange center to exchange it, and not to soak, or to gather) is public accommodation in Asahikawa-shi, Hokkaido.
It is located in "the Civic core district" of the redevelopment area "北彩都 あさひかわ" east side around Asahikawa Station.
It is got close by a nickname called CoCoDe (ココデ), and a meaning that "Co" here become the place of "Co" interchange and "De" encounter is put.

History
Two brick buildings which became the base of the Asahikawa-shi citizen activity interchange center were factories of Japan National Railways [2], and the former tree machine drying place was used for the former second tree machine workplace as a lathe factory as a smithy.
It is said that engineering works engineer, Sakuo Tanabe representing the Meiji period was engaged in a design.
These two buildings built in 1899 are precious landmark architectures conveying building of the Meiji era today, and, with the opening to traffic of 官設鉄道上川線, it is said that it is one of the buildings which are the oldest in the country for existing Japan National Railways facility.
After repair, in the old tree machine drying ground, the old second tree machine workplace is used as a hall ridge as a citizen's activity support ridge each.

In addition, a railroad history display corner is on the first floor of the citizen activity support ridge and the second floor and can see an article and the photograph of the connection which received a loan from JR at the time.
